SSC ultimate Aero TT?

What exactly is going on with americas greatest achievement, the SSC ultimate Aero TT? Their site hasn't been updated in a long time... Supra guy 23:01, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

You know why because their attempt at the top speed was foiledd by bad weather. So they get no hype at all and no need until they reattempt it. Uber555 03:24, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I heard of that I was just wondering if there was any news on when they will go for it again. Instead of closing down a road they should just do it at bonneville... Supra guy 02:41, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Stabile vs. stable

I found both words in the Merriam-Webster. I prefer stable. Aldo L (talk) 15:44, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

1001 PS

The Veyron has an engine rated at 1001 PS = 987 bhp = 736 kW - Will people stop changing it to 1001 bhp this is wrong!

Both values are less than the SSC anyway .... lɘɘяɘM яɘɫƨɐƮ 12:20, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

What is this supposed to mean?

"NASA put the car in a wind tunnel testing facility and proved that the SSC Aero could be aerodynamically stable enough to reach speeds up to 273 mph (439.3 km/h)." did they:

  • prove the car is aerodynamically stable enough to...

or

  • speculate the car could be aerodynamically stable enough to...

  • It proves nothing, a house brick is aerodynamically stable at higher speeds - and the limiting factor is engine power to the wheels not aerodynamics lɘɘяɘM яɘɫƨɐƮ 13:31, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
  • The way it is written does not say that the car CAN go that fast, merely that, if provided enough power, would be stable up to that speed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.120.225.72 (talk) 19:40, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

TV anyone??

I mean... If this car is really that fast, why don't someone loan it to people at Topgear? I would really like to see this car, on TV, reaching the claimed top speed... So far, there has been nothing of the sort... All the doubts and questions will remain, until this happens. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.241.65.239 (talk) 19:43, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

why doesn't someone loan the car to Top Gear??? how about 'why doesn't top gear test it'? i think that it's safe to say that the car isn't "good enough" for Top Gear, just like the Ultima GTR. they had to get a driver of their own and run the car on Top Gear's track on their own because TG 'for some reason' doesn't want to test it. i'm sure they're worried that this little 'ol big displacement pushrod V8 engined engined kit car will show up all of these high end top name cars, just like Ultima has been doing for years now.
besides that, YOU will still doubt the Ultimate Aero, since i'm 99% sure that your the same guy going around to all of the Veyron and SSC articles trying to dismiss the Ultimate Aero as much as possible, even though the FACTS beg to differ. please note that the same GPS data aquisition system shown in this video is the same one used in the Top Gear Bugatti Veyron top speed video too.Ry Trapp0 (talk) 09:41, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
