"Cheit argues that most of those accused in alleged day-care sex-abuse hysteria cases, including the Country Walk case, the McMartin preschool trial,[3][4] and the Oak Hill satanic ritual abuse trial, were actually guilty". This is at least partially misleading. In the McMartin case Cheit argued that the vast majority of tha accused were innocent, and only two were guilty. That is only one were guilty of abuse, but this persons mother was guilty of protecting her abusive son.
