What I don't get is...[edit]

What I don't get about this show is that these people must know they're going to be on Room Raiders... WHY DON'T THEY CLEAN UP THEIR ROOMS?! Seriously, it's all so setup it's really not that entertaining. -- BrandonR 14:50, 6 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, you are a really slow person or just easily manipulated! They don't know if they are going to be on the show or not. They simply know that they have been interviewed for a possible spot, and hand in a resume. On the resume it tells the selectors where to contact them if needed and during what time usually. Don't you see they wear different clothing? It's obvious they sign a contract to allow MTV to "raid" them and invade their privacy, so the particpants are usually dumb because they are giving up a right to privacy to be on TV.

Or they could just interview them and shoot the beginning scenes at the end of it all and pay them a certain amount for it or they can just be happy with air time.

Exactly...In the beginning, they all act completely clueless, typically asking if they can get their shoes or claiming they have things to do. Furthermore, one's parents or friends will not usually let a deranged man run into the house and abduct the one who will be a contestant on the show.

most of the shows ARE set up but not all of them. Heres an example, room raiders texas had a wrestling special. It featured two brothers three girls. The brothers raided the rooms chose the girl and everything. Then they had to wrestle each other. One of them "got hit with a briefcase". Then at the end some unknown guy goes in the ring and "atacks them". The girl goes with the other guy instead. The other guy was her boyfriend. These shows are made up!

Listen, it's quite obvious part of the shows are set up, such as the ones who are doing the raiding. Of course the "raider" is going to have some say in the process. So if they wanted a wrestling match then that is what MTV will give them. They will accomodate the contestants since they are literally making millions of them while giving the contestants a very very small fraction of that. However, the ones who are being raided do not know they are being raided. THAT part is NOT set up!!!! The MTV grabbers (the ones who grab the contestants in the show) go from house to house until they have found 3 contestants. Everything you see in their rooms is theirs and they have signed off in their prior interviews to allow anything to be aired on TV because people will do anything to get on TV!

THIS SHOW IS SO SCRIPTED..THEY ARE HORRIBLE ACTORS TOO. THIS PEOPLE ARE MAKING FOOLS OF THEMSELVES WITH OUT EVEN KNOWING.I FEEL SO BAD FOR TH EM.
