  • issue "reliability of source" [1]
  • In my opinion, this source is unreliable. It is essentially from a publicist, which means it it is "self-published". Further, this source has no reputation for fact checking. A person notable enough for an own article should have a source that is reliable.Pupluv 20:56, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This RfC is the result of an ongoing dispute between Pupluv and User:Alansohn. My involvment began with a request for 3O.
IMO, the source in question is fine for non-contentious details, such as where he went to high school, meeting all of the criteria under BLP/self-published.
Maxwell is clearly notable as the director of several clearly notable films and a one-time Emmy nominee. This is established by the two NYTimes articles, though the article can certainly use some more sources.

Starting an RFC this early seems counterproductive, a {{refimprove}} tag should have been put on the article first. Corvus cornix 18:55, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
