Oldest operational station[edit]

I have seen an assertion that Clerkenwell station (Rosebery Avenue) was London's oldest operational station - until it closed on 9 January 2014 (see http://spitalfieldslife.com/2014/01/09/so-long-clerkenwell-fire-station/). The original building dated from 1871-2, but Pearsall designed its extension some 20 years later. This may require a change to the lead, and to the DYK nomination.
