"Cam linn" should be "crooked pool," not "crooked line."

"Líne" is a recent loanword from English, meaning "line," and as such is very unlikely to have anything to do with a Gaelic placename. Further, it's pronounced something like "Lee-na" making anglicization as "lin" even more improbable.

"Linn" meaning "pool" is a traditional element of Gaelic placenames, showing up even in the anglicized Dublin: "dubh linn" or "black pool" as the city has been known for centuries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.148.148.187 (talk) 10:11, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
