NPOV[edit]

This article seems to have been written almost entirely from the standpoint that Angola is (essentially) Evil. Statements such as "the so called "Angolan" province of Zaire (which is in fact Mbanza Kongo, the Kingdom of the Mukongo people this is the heart of the Kongo Nation" is an example of this problem. Also the term "occupied state" presents the image that compares this situation to other occupied territories in the world(i.e. Palestine). This seems to be unnecessary. Additionally grammatically there are problems with spelling that need to be corrected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.46.198.237 (talk) 15:43, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed some of these. Vanjagenije (talk) 23:50, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2020[edit]

Palestine -- the Arab parts of the Palestinian Mandate -- are undetermined territories. Britain offered an Arab state and a Jewish state to the parts of the Mandate...and the Israelis said yes. The Arabs said no. The matter is still undetermined to this day. In the same way, if Cabinda was a separate Portuguese colony -- and was in fact invaded by Angolan forces during the Angolan independence campaign...then the situation in Cabinda is exactly the same. It did not get a chance at independence and is undetermined -- though here it is possible that many nation-states see it as part of Angola. Similarly -- see the status of Spanish Sahara vs. Morocco/Mauritania. Facts on the ground support Angola -- but the history section supports Cabinda as a separate entity. What is the UN position on the matter? Chesspride 216.144.161.51 (talk) 20:20, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Cabindans have received much less international support than either the Palestinians or Sahrawis, so Cabinda is not a very diplomatically-active issue. AnonMoos (talk) 00:30, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Republic of Cabinda Flag[edit]

The Republic of Cabinda Flag is White Black and Orange. The Flag of FLEC FAC is yellow, red and blue. Do not change the flags if you do not know what is what. Sincerely yours,

This may be so, but you need to source this. Your account has been used for vandalism elsewhere, so it can't just be accepted on your word alone. Greenman (talk) 07:21, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There seem to be various groupings involved. One is at cabinda.net. There is another, at cabinda.org. See also flagspot.net. Greenman (talk) 07:33, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Gabirro has added false information about a fantasy government in exile, national bank, passport, and organization of African states, the information has been edited to reflect the truth. If one does a simple Google search on Rui Gabirro alias Mangovo one will see he has been disowned by FLEC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Resistk (talkcontribs) 16:01, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article has been hacked by Rui Gabirro - there is no such thing as the Federation of free African States, no Cabindan will work with the Portuguese Gabirro, who fancies himslef by several fake titles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.20.156.69 (talk) 01:09, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article had a a lot of pish-posh by Gabirro AKA Mangovo who has been booted out of FLEC along with Mingas and Lopes. Corrections have made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Resistk (talkcontribs) 00:29, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The coat of arms and flag are fantasies by Rui Gabirro and are only seen at his website, the FLEC flag is correct.

Rui Gabirro (please Google) does indeed own the so called shield of Cabinda however this is not the indicia of Cabinda at all - Dr. Jonathan Levy, Legal representative for Republic of Cabinda. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Resistk (talkcontribs) 03:38, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of Arms[edit]

I wonder, which is the correct Coat of Arms, as I foung three different looking versions:

Which version should we use here? I think, the FLEC one is best. Any objections?
