Sea level changes?[edit]

During the past 6000 years, "a subsequent fall in sea level" must be a local isostatic adjustment, the result of local uplift, following the early Holocene rise in worldwide sea level.--Wetman (talk) 00:11, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it did seem a bit odd. I thought that sea level had been rising steadily over the last 10k years or so. I have adjusted the sentence, but maybe it could be improved further. Maias (talk) 07:00, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
