I changed UK to British Isles as there are, of course, many stone circles through the Republic of Ireland also. Tumulus 19:21, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can hardly see anything in the photograph; it's too dark. Can it be replace by one taken under better lighting conditions? Michael Hardy 21:36, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meaningless

Need some indication of %'s or figures.

"The recumbent stone lies between the SSE and SW points of the circle. It is thought that this configuration was used for lunar observations and the changing of the seasons however such an alignment would coincide with the Winter Solstice Sunset"

Thought by whom ?

A SSE-SW orientation would coincide with any number of astronomical events. Why single out Lunar Observations and the Winter Solstice Sunset [ in the SSE ?]

The most that can be said is that they had such and such an alignment. It's purpose is unknown, unknowable, and given the range of orientations probably not important in any exact form to it's builders.
