The title of this article, "Rangoon Road coffeeshop murder" would suggest it happened inside a coffeeshop. It didn't. While it might have happened in the flat above, nearby or outside a coffeeshop, including the word coffeeshop, without demonstrating a criminal connection, is potentially misleading. The fact that it happened outside a coffeeshop appears to be coincidence, if anything. @NelsonLee20042020: No problems. The naming of articles is a bit of a black art, sometimes. One can look at the sources and see a common theme in the news stories about naming a murder. However, the advice at WP:MURDERS and WP:MURDEROF provide some suggestions when there is not a recognizable common name to use. Often naming the murder article after the victim of the murder is at least consistent with other murder articles. Naming a murder after a location presents additional issues with recognizability and with identifying the scene of the crime. In this case, it was the street outside the flat. @NelsonLee20042020: Being "Murdered" is not actually a "Cause of death" because for someone to be found guilty of the crime of murder someone needs to have both committed a criminal act that caused the death of the victim and then be shown to have the intention to cause death or be reckless about whether or not death might occur as a result of their actions. Being stabbed is likely to cause death due to blood loss or damage to bodily organs. You read through the section first, about the death of Wang. The autopsy report had specified the cause of death
@NelsonLee20042020; The Court judgement Public Prosecutor v Jin Yugang [2003] SGHC 37 note at paragraph 62 that "Dr Paul Chui ... certified the cause of death as "Multiple stab wounds"." Enough said by the source, Wikipedia needs no more detail if the court are satisfied with that. There is no need to be more precise because if the stab wounds are fatal they have to have caused death, so mentioning the wounds are fatal is redundant. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:10, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
