Official website[edit]

I do not speak bielorussian, but what is claimed to be its official website seems pretty weird for a classical singer... --160.45.40.188 (talk) 13:23, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is a dead link! 78.97.131.244 (talk) 18:17, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

He is gifted with a pure soprano voice in the range of C4 to C6 considered at present a great talent of the Baroque music.

No E6 then...doesnt belong in the whistle register category.

He's performed Der Holle Rache live (I can post the recording if anyone would like) - he can at least get up to F6.

yes!!! can you post it somewhere please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by EiBXX (talkcontribs) 15:43, 15 February 2010 (UTC) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZzb63nYHtA 78.97.131.244 (talk) 13:12, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Medical?[edit]

The medical/physiological background to his unusual voice is not properly explained. Does he have Kallman syndrome or something similar? AuntFlo (talk) 04:46, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know; I removed that pending checkable citation. Softlavender (talk) 04:33, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Update: There are at least two reliable sources saying that he is an endocrinological castrato, but it seems he doesn't go around explaining what exactly his particular medical anomaly is/was that caused that -- which is fine, we'll just leave it at that; people are entitled to their privacy. Softlavender (talk) 10:24, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marian is an "endocrinological castrato" or "natural castrato".[2] A natural castrato is a singer who never went through puberty and so kept his "unbroken" voice intact.[3]

If he never went through puberty, why does he have a stubble? => http://www.radumarian.net/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/photo-gallery/radu_marian_sopranist_male-soprano_8244-550.jpg — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.98.146.61 (talk) 16:57, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That link doesn't work. Softlavender (talk) 08:53, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
