Punia (Hinduism) heading of the article seems misleading because this is not much related with Hinduism. It is regarding the history of Punia clan or gotra. Its heading should be Punia (gotra). burdak 07:58, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding page title[edit]

As the Google book hits show, Punia (57,700 hits) is hands down the WP:COMMONNAME as compared to Poonia (17,800 hits) or Puniya (4,890 hits). Actually, the current title is least used in the reliable sources, and we don't have a single person's article with this spelling of the surname.
