Proton exchange membrane[edit]

I would like to propose to change the terminology of this article to use PEM for proton exchange membrane in connection with electrolysers in order to have a better match with AEM anion exchange membrane. The polymer electrolyte membrane is rather a superset of these two which could designate all low-temperature versions with a polymer membrane that provides the necessary reaction pH. The trend in current research literature in electrolysis is strongly in favour of the PEM = proton exchange membrane, and it would serve the public better to encourage that use in my personal opinion. I am not an expert but IEA seem to agree with you Chidgk1 (talk) 18:05, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
