Merge[edit]

No merge, on the grounds of opposition and no justification made for the merge.

Proposed since last May, I've updated the template at Compounding of steam turbines [1] so at least both merge templates now point to the same place.

It would be good to have a rationale, perhaps the proposer thought it was obvious from the state of the articles at the time. It's still good to start off the discussion rather than just post hit and run merge tags. Andrewa (talk) 03:02, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Both of these articles could use work, but why merge? What is it with this belief that by creating content-indifferent make-works like this, the encyclopedia somehow improves? Both of these are notable topics. There is room for all three (I hope it's obvious which one we're missing). Andy Dingley (talk) 09:41, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment:I'm inclined to agree. In fact unless there's some better rationale offered than the rather bare edit summaries merger [2], add merge tag [3] and better [4] then frankly this merge proposal is a complete waste of everyone's time IMO. Andrewa (talk) 01:28, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
