Initial comments[edit]

yeah i put up te POV tag because this article seems to be biased towards the groups that compete in scientific comps for Poudre and seems almost like school propoganda when it comments on the schools landlocked status and its performance in the Ocean Bowl. Or maybe im completely wrong. Either way, yall should respond. cheers, --zachjones4 03:07, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree that this boasts of our accomplishments (I attend Poudre). However, all of the information is correct to my knowlege and we do typically perform well in science competitions, winning state and placing well in nationals for multiple competitions. TheDamian 05:51, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are absolutely correct that this is a bosting page, and honestly when there is a reason boastin gis completely acceptable, so long there is proof behind the pudding

yeah i goto poudre too; i have to admit that although it is technically boasting, we really do have one of the best science programs in the state if not the nation. we shuld try to make this article more complete, i.e. add the rest of the teachers names, information the the status of the IB program at Poudre (# of years). Im removing the biased tag as we speak. cheers, --zachjones4 23:35, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice how you claim it's a boasting page when you can't even spell "boasting" correctly. No wonder Fort Collins High is a far superior school.

Nice how you have nothing better to do or to b-o-a-s-t about than spelling rudimentary words. While you seem to have achieved this level of grammatical accomplishment, it is regrettable that you do not actually have anything to say.

Nice factual inaccuracies regarding blanket statements about other high schools in the country!

Please keep comments civil, also the statement to which you are refering to may have been out of date (it was based on information from several years ago). However do you have any specific information on what other schools competing at National Ocean Sciences Bowl did not offer oceanography classes? Variable Z 23:16, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Steak...It's what's for dinner[edit]

I have taken the liberty of adding To the description of Mr. Ney the fact that he is a self proclaimed steak enthusiast, meaining that he did in fact proclaim his passion for steak. I see no legitimate reason that this should not be on the page. If you beg to differ please state your're reason, but do not blindly delete it. thank you ThePedro 04:02, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am aware that Mr. Ney IS a steak enthusiast, however that information does not belong on this page as it has nothing to do with the school or with Mr. Ney's teaching position at the school. Variable Z 19:28, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you conclusively prove that it has no relation to his position as a teacher. As a teacher at poudre he is part of he school, therefore facts about him are relevant on this page. More information is usually better, for instance, if somebody who was planning to attend poudre this comming year and wanted to learn about poudre high school, and upon realizing that they were taking a photography class, they could look at the description of mr. Ney and discover that it would be in their best interest to bring him a steak on the first day of class instead of the traditional apple. ThePedro 00:16, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not change this until all diputes are resolved! ThePedro 02:57, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know what there is to resolve, it does not belong on this page. Please do not add it again. Variable Z 03:17, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Variable Z, if the page was about Mr. Ney then it would be appropriate. However, his meat fetish has absolutely nothing to do with Poudre as a school, and so it does not belong here. DemonOWA 15:07, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since the teacher list is incomplete, does this even belong on an encyclopedia entry?

Poudre High School should NOT redirect to Rocky Mountain High School Variable Z 02:09, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Tidbits thing at the bottom of the page.[edit]

This area was not up to the standards that Wikipedia should uphold, and was thus, removed. DemonOWA 23:36, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just because YOU didn't like it doesn't mean it wasn't valuable.

Miss vs Mrs.[edit]

Female teachers are always referred to as "Miss" because of the nature of the position, to not show weather they are married or not. DemonOWA 23:36, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That isn't what these terms mean in American English; if usage is different at Poudre, then it's a bit of trivia that should be marked as such. --Orange Mike 17:28, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correct Spelling[edit]

i noticed that this page has many "brittish" spelling such as honour not honor. I understand that IB does that, but wouldn't localization of language use "american" spelling --[[User:Designdroide|Design[[user_talk:Designdroide|droide]]]] 23:55, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Club[edit]

If someone has a point of contact for the high school's Wikipedia Club, I'd be very much interested in getting that. I'd be happy to send a copy of my book, about editing Wikipedia to whoever can provide this information. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 14:14, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
