This doesn't really work since this isn't a period of up to 12 months. Use "from 1979 to 1981" instead.

Who was headquartered?The building is one of the oldest extant buildings with a light court.
One of the oldest in New York City? I recommend changing the second "building" to "structure", also.- Done
The Real Estate Record and Guide compared the light court to those of the New York Evening Post Building and the Mills Building.
