Cultivar names or common names?[edit]

Cultivar ‘Aurea’ has alternative names, such as golden poplar, which feel like common names. If so they should be bolded lower case. If they can be regarded as cultivar names they should be in capitals in single quotes. I’ve gone for the former. Darorcilmir (talk) 09:15, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I just added golden poplar (having come across it in another article and having to Google). Thanks for the correction. I don't know if it's a common name, and didn't know about the single quotes, sorry. I thought that double quotes were standard for everything. Now I know for next time! (Also not too sure about Melba's, actually, after reviewing - that is probably just the one in Melbourne Botanic Gardens...) Laterthanyouthink (talk) 09:47, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
