Article issues and Contributions[edit]

Number of beds citation request:

I think the information is available at the various health departments or bed licenses from the affiliated institutions. Adding 10 or more references accounting for the estimated 2,000 beds network might be impractical.

It is usually pretty obvious from the amount of affiliated institutions that there is a vast amount of beds composing the network. Asking for a citation on this is at the moment a little bit harsh.

Please people try to contribute citations as well! --PrussianBlue1 (talk) 22:03, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This amounts to wp:original research. You need an actual verifiable citation to specify the 2,000 there. Otherwise, why not just leave out that one statement altogether? It won't hurt the article in the least bit. After all, you already say (and I agree) that It is usually pretty obvious from the amount of affiliated institutions that there is a vast amount of beds composing the network, so why say 2,000 if everyone reading would already know the number is pretty high? Good point. But having the number 2,000 beds will make it easier for people that are not health-savy. It might be good to try to see how we can reference it, but right now the only way I can possibly think of referencing this is going hospital by hospital and getting copy or links of where in the health department the number of licensed-bed can be found.

I know that with San Lucas and Damas Hospital you are close to 1,000 ! --PrussianBlue1 (talk) 00:53, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
