Name Change[edit]

The article name should change to reflect the name change of 01/2019 to a more neutral “Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York” or “... of New York City” as per: https://www.nycpba.org/news-items/chief/2019/pba-comes-a-long-way-finally-takes-men-out-of-name/

1971 Strike[edit]

It is remarkable that there is no article on the 1971 police strike. So I went to Google and discovered just about zero on this historic events. Isn't that remarkable? Paul, in Saudi (talk) 09:07, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, remembering the extensive local news coverage at the time. Alas, I have grown too lazy for the kind of historical research I was doing then, shuffling old and yellowing broadsheets or cranking a microfilm reader at the library. Jim.henderson (talk) 12:59, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Organization[edit]

Ought we to keep using these odd headings with the tenure of mayors? Perhaps headers based on decade would be better. Any thoughts? Paul, in Saudi (talk) 06:21, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There should an article about PBA cards[edit]

These are get out of jail cards handed by cops their mostly White friends and family members to avoid hassle with cops in New York over minor law breaking.

Worth an article in its own right? 81.141.33.196 (talk) 18:52, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
