High-speed railway ?[edit]

Note: The Turkish name is Polatlı-İzmir yüksek standartlı demiryolu, yüksek standartlı meaning high-standard railway. yüksek hizli would have the meaning of high-speed. --katpatuka (talk) 15:00, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Turkish naming for the railway is confusing since both "Yüksek standartlı" and "Yüksek hızlı" railways mean the same thing. As per WP: Common name the name "Polatlı-İzmir high-speed railway" is the proper title, since "high-standard railway" is not an international term and the term for the railway in question is a simple "High-speed railway". @Central Data Bank: Yeah, you're right - I had noticed it later after looking at tr:Kategori:Türkiye'deki yüksek hızlı demiryolu hatları where both namings are being listed --katpatuka (talk) 16:39, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
