Move[edit]

Why was this article moved? The URL is Logainm.ie, but that's not the name of the website. The URL isn't the name, it's the "Placenames Database of Ireland." The website makes no mention of the name being Logainm.ie, it's simply the URL. Canterbury Tail talk 03:53, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Logainm.ie is not the Placenames Database of Ireland. Logainm.ie is a sub-project of The Placenames Comission under the management of An Roinn Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta. The project is only desribed as 'Placenames Database of Ireland', because that is what it is. The projects' official name is simply Logainm.ie--Theosony (talk) 06:20, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Funding?[edit]

Is Logainm.ie part-funded by the Stormont or UK exchequers? The reason I ask is that they are researching all placenames across Ireland. 86.44.75.177 (talk) 13:19, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
