Name Change[edit]

Suggest changing the article name to Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport or simply Galileo Galilei Airport. The word international is neither in its name nor is it commonly used.

Update: On Pisa Airport's website the airport is named Pisa International Airport, so the name is correct Wjkxy (talk) 16:00, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Air dolomiti-lufthansa cityline[edit]

@User:RMS52, @@User:Zurich00swiss I noticed that there is a stupid war of edits about the writing "lufthansa regional operated by..." in the table of pasengers flights. Could we decide together how to write this flight? It's ridiculous to see that one day someone writes "operated by lufthansa CityLine and Air Dolomiti" and after a few days this edit is reverted in the original version. Wjkxy (talk) 17:28, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@User:RMS52, @@Wjkxy I say we leave everything as before. if you put together AIR DOLOMITI and LUFTHANSA CITY LINE in PSA you must put together also at MUC.
The aviation user. Zurich00swiss (talk) 17:44, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, it's quite different, because for PSA this is the only lufthansa flight, while Munich is a Lufthansa hub, and there are flights operated by different carriers with LH code. Anyway, I agree with you to keep them separated, like in Malpensa airport page. Wjkxy (talk) 17:48, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Wjkxy In all airports of the world it is so. The aviation user. Zurich00swiss (talk) 17:53, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Unfortunately RMS52 retired from Wikipedia today, so we can't explain him the situation. Wjkxy (talk) 20:10, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The aviation user. Zurich00swiss (talk) 21:01, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've put LH flights in one only space. I'm following the example on WP:AIRPORTS. Wjkxy (talk) 08:07, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Charter section[edit]

Hello I'm writing for ask our opinion about a new section table with charter flight at Pisa International Airport?
The aviation user. Zurich00swiss (talk) 19:50, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The charter table is not permitted for a lot of airports (like PSA I think). Actually I don't know enough about it, maybe user like RMS52 could give us an answer. Wjkxy (talk) 20:03, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If I was you I'd raise the concern at WT:AIRPORT in order to get some input.--Jetstreamer Talk 00:57, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I@Wjkxy: @Zurich00swiss: It was my understanding that there is not meant to be a charter flight section, since it gets to confusing. You also do not split flights into Regular, Seasonal and charter. I cleaned up Dalaman Airport and instead of 4 sections for flights, now there is only 2.

Well, with only theese charter flights a table is surely unnecessary. Wjkxy (talk) 15:13, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, there should at least be around 50 with seperate airlines to make a table. RMS52 Talk to me 15:17, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I understand, I don't create the charter table at Pisa International Airport. The aviation user. Zurich00swiss (talk) 21:10, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Security?[edit]

Can you put down in the article the type of Security they have at the airport, such as the organization and the security scanners? Since I come from the USA, I only know the TSA, the security organization that protects US. Airports. FiendYT (talk) 05:23, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please repeat us what are you looking for? Do you mean the security check with metal detectors that each passenger has to do before departure? In this case the Italian rules are the same of USA... also because I think that are International rules for all the world. Wjkxy (talk) 10:59, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I mean the type of security scanners they use. (Those machines you have to go put your luggage in or go pass through before entering the terminals and gates.) FiendYT (talk) 03:24, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I've searched on internet and I've found that the luggages scanners of every airport follow the rules of IATA, and work exactly in the same way, with the luggage that goes under the tunnel with X-ray. You can find difference in the passenger check, where you can find body scanners (like in Fiumicino and Malpensa airports) or just metal detectors Wjkxy (talk) 06:02, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Air Baltic[edit]

Why you don't add Air Baltic at Airlines and dastinations in pisa international airport? Bingospaga (talk) 12:37, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Bingospaga, the flight was cancelled... Please look the official site, you can't book the flight PSA-RIX.--The aviation user. Zurich00swiss (talk) 20:06, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, last year flights to RIX have been posted on the website later than February, so the closure of this flight is not sure. If you want to remove a flight because it isn't on the website you should wait until March in my opinion. So I suggest you both stop with this unnecessary edit war and just wait about one month. p.s. Bingospaga, I've answered you on my talk page in Italian Wikipedia (in italian). Wjkxy (talk) 20:57, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
