Pica8 has ceased operations silently?

I was researching vendors and was considering Pica8. However, it seems they have silently ceased operations and fired everyone. I have internal statements but can't find any online source for it. What's the idea to update the article here? Should there be anything on public records somewhere? I'm not versatile enough in the US how this works if a company "silently" shuts down or goes into stealth mode.
