Update needed[edit]

A quick Google search finds that today there are a fairly wide variety of PEIA tools available. This is an interesting topic, but this article currently only focuses on one, 20-year old tool... Update needed. Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 14:10, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm Don Lotter, developer of PEIA. EnviroAccount (written in pre-Windows Basic) was to my knowledge the first PEIA software or system. Shortly after its introduction (articles cited on the Wikipedia page) the ecological footprint system came out. I'm not sure whether the footprint idea was based on my PEIA software.
I released the Windows version of PEIA, EarthAware, later. It is still downloadable from my website at www.donlotter.net and can still be used for in-depth PEIA. I think PEIA/EarthAware should remain as its own Wikipedia page since it was developed completely independently from the footprint system, but I think linking those respective web pages would be a good idea, plus any other PEIA tools and systems. Thanks for your contributions. Dwlotter (talk) 08:10, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
