Large addition of unreferenced material[edit]

This addition raises some interesting points that contradict the previous article. Unfortunately the only reference is a personal communication, which is not a reliable source for Wikipedia. I considered reverting it, but I'll give the editor a chance to provide references first.--Curtis Clark (talk) 02:47, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The information that was previously there was based on speculation as to the author's intent. The added information is based on the best information that is currently available that includes an actual discussion with the author of the taxon, and the author provided an oral description of the history for which there is no other reference. Further a committee request to review the name is in the process of being submitted. A further reference to this information is contained on the Utah Rare Plants Guide pages. See the first 2/17/12 entry here: http://www.utahrareplants.org/rpg_whatsnew.html. ```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tfrates (talkcontribs) 03:05, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
