Bias[edit]

I think this article is biased. This individual identified (and is identified in the article) as a member of a terrorist organisation, proscribed both in the Republic of Ireland and in the United Kingdom. The article as it stands is too sympathetic towards this woman ('in honour of', for example). Or this partisan stuff in the article: "At the funeral of Frank Ryan a Sinn Féin leader, Jim Gibney, stated "Frankie and Patricia are not alone. They are representatives of a generation of Ireland's youth who have acquired the skills to remain hidden, who come forward when required to do so. How will the British defeat this invisible force?"[4]"

And someone is policing changes very carefully. We all want to see the truth in Wikipedia.Varnebank (talk) 18:15, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The mysterious "someone" here, checking in. Stating once again that the edits were reverted due to removal of cited content and NPOV concerns, any issues with the tone of the article are a separate matter for discussion. RA0808 talkcontribs 23:02, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

== NPOV? Really? How about "Her comrades considered her a determined and dedicated young woman and she was tasked with the role of intelligence gathering" and "She died, along with fellow Volunteer". Seems pretty POV to me. Varnebank (talk) 19:27, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Varnebank: Your changing it to "Her fellow terrorists" and "She died, along with fellow terrorist" and deletion of content (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Patricia_Black&diff=prev&oldid=779593871) were not productive, nor were your implied accusations of bias (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Patricia_Black&diff=next&oldid=779593871) or calling legitimate templated warnings "partisan whingeing" (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Varnebank&diff=prev&oldid=779737281). If you approached this constructively, rather than being so unnecessarily antagonistic, Wikipedia would end up with a better final product. RA0808 talkcontribs 19:45, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

== yeah, so much better now. Thank you for your efforts.Varnebank (talk) 19:28, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV is certainly a concern with the article as it stands, it kind of reads as a memorial. Prezbo (talk) 18:36, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
