In Florin Manolescu (1980), he's mentioned just once:

Un proiect românesc, ulterior submarinului din 20.000 de leghe sub mări este citat în l'Independence Roumaine, din 2 iunie 1881. Proiectantul este un anume Traian Theodorescu, iar cel care a prezentat propunerea în Camera Legislativă a fost Pantazi Ghica.
