This cannot be a myth in any sense to say so is inslting human sufering and sacrifice, they were nto called 28 panilovtsy, when it says almost all of the 28 panfilovsy were killed does not make sense bcause 28 panfilovty is the name given to the 28 survivors after the war, I do not like this western biased account.

From what is said and from speaking to people of historical knowledge in Kazakhstan, there wre 1000 men in the division and they were all recruited from talgar. It consisted of 500 Kazakhs and 500 Russians altough th composition of oficers an ranks unclear the men were defintely from talgar.

To undermine this is insulting from sitting behind a computer and understating from a western point of view or whoever wrote this article this is extremely insulting. This article is almost entirely wrong and biased.

I've rewritten it.

The article only cited one source, and focused more on the propagandistic description in the wartime press that on what happened (as far as it is known). I added some fifteen sources and laid out the events to the best of my ability. I've done it on 9-10 February, but I only add this comment now, for any future reviewers.
