Kosovo, Serbia[edit]

Please, avoid phrases such as "in Kosovo, Serbia" because Kosovo and Serbia are two separate countries.--A B X T 09:29, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because territorial dispute between Serbia and the local Albanian majority over Kosovo, in which Kosovo DONT have full Independence, dualism will be used. At least, until dispute resolution. And, of course, it is not an independent state (see: List of unrecognized countries).

Well, for the sake of NPOV, we have agreed to write Kosovo in all articles as well as a label noted, as you may have seen in Kosovo-related articles. In the label note, there is an explanation showing the level of recognition of Kosovo. Let's maintain NPOV, but let's be realists, as well.--A B X T 18:01, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
ABX is correct about the need of writing from a neutral point of view. The issue was discussed at Talk:Šar Mountains#Serbia and Kosovo. - Best, Ev (talk) 18:19, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kosovo's independence[edit]

Why don't you ask the people of Kosovo if they are part of Serbia. Surly Kosovo should be for the Kosavars and Serbia for the Serbians. How would you like it if Turkey annouanced a historical claim to Serbia, after all, Serbia was once only a mere province of the Ottoman empire? Why can't you accept the declaration of the democratically elected parliment of kosovo that kosovo is independent? 2007apm (talk) 21:59, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
