History[edit]

Plinio (Caii Plinii Secundi, Historiæ naturalis, libri XXXVII, IV, 5 ) says that Taurania was In Campano agro Stabia oppidum fuere so close to Stabia, not close to Nuceria Alfaterna (Pagani is bordered by Nocera). Moreover was Nuceria the chief town in the valley of the Sarnus, as evidenced by the ancient coins. Barbatianus is medieval place, no evidences the are about a romanian foundation. The city was founded in the fifteenth century, after the Pagano's family moved to Corte in Piano. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.77.196.63 (talk) 17:16, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
