Requested move 8 December 2017[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved to Pad Man (film). "Film" is needed as a disambiguator because Pad Man (character) will be created to cover Jonathan Krantz. "Padman" will become a disambiguation page that depicts all four notable articles about Padman or Pad Man (the base name "Pad Man" will redirect to the disambiguation page) uncovered in this discussion. Since this Talk:Padman page will not redirect, a link to this requested move will be created when it becomes the talk page of a disambiguation page. And in compliance with the closing instructions, since there is a consensus to rename this page, and yet there is no clear consensus for the title that I chose, any editor may request a new and different name at any time. PadmanPad Man – Pad Man is the correct name according to the external links. Peter James (talk) 19:03, 8 December 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. Kostas20142 (talk) 17:09, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Peter James and Steel1943: I suggest you that Pad Man (2018 film) is perfect name for this page if Pad Man is already redirected to another page. Cheers -- HindWikiConnect 10:59, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. The original title for the film is "Pad Man" & not "Padman". The latter is actually a commonly used surname in India. Shady59 (talk) 13:59, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think that this is the primary topic for "Pad Man", not a list of minor characters in a television series. There can be a hatnote to that list. Padman can be a disambiguation page for this and the two articles about people with the surname (both Australian). Is there an alternative spelling for the Indian name? Peter James (talk) 19:55, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Peter James: No, there are no alternative names of these types in India. -- HindWikiConnect 15:35, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In that case it's unlikely to be notable (I don't know the origin of the surname in Australia, where Rachael Padman and Doug Padman are from). Peter James (talk) 16:05, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have not linked Arunachalam to this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arunachalam_Muruganantham and Maya Alag didn't act in Pad Man Movie Urvashiwitty (talk) 12:23, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: Arunachalam Muruganantham is already linked in multiple places but removed Maya Alagh as she was added without sources and no role is specified. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 17:24, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
