Addition to Summary[edit]

I added a detail, with references, that justified and expanded on the use of the word "affluent" in the first sentence of the article. No one objected to the word "affluent" in that instance. My intent was to add a reference to what was already mentioned (without references). MANY articles on towns and cities include references to rankings of wealth or other statistics in the summary of the article. See: Greenwich, Connecticut - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenwich,_Connecticut or La Jolla, CA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Jolla - just the first two I picked at random. I am not adding anything remotely unusual here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User232323 (talkcontribs) 05:09, 21 January 2015 (UTC) .[reply]

Thanks for pointing those out. I will remove them too. WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is not a valid argument. Please see this for the reliability of one of your sources. Your other ref, altho reliable, only discusses the realeastate prices in the community. Houses cost a butt load there, eh? It is YOUR conclusion that the city is wealthy, a term again, per our discussion at your userpage, is subjective. What is the exact definition of wealthy? Are you wealthy if you live in a $600,000 house? How about a $550,000 house? I removed the affluent too. Please be aware that if you replace the content again, you will be in violation of WP:3RR and subject to an immediate block. You are welcome to ask for a third opinion, but if you re-add the info again without a consensus, which you do not have, you will quite likely be blocked. There are objective measures of affluence or wealth. It is an objective fact that property values in this city are among the highest in the nation. It is an objective fact that household income in this city is among the highest in the nation. You are claiming POV simply because you don't want that content included. "Orono has among the highest property values and household incomes in the United States." -- Please let me know on what basis you object to adding that sentence. If you are really hung-up on the terms "wealth" or "affluence," you should have no objection to that. This is relevant, referenced information. User232323 (talk) 13:05, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
