Most of it what is wroted down about town where I spend 18 years is true. But with some things I can not agree. Cos Orlová didnt have in the middle ages agricultural charakter. Of course that a few fields was there as everywhere in the middle ages cos people have to feed themselves somehow. But one specific thing i can not found in this article. In the middle ages Orlová was an important town. Cos there was a manifactury for religious clothes. That was in that times important and it make town higher then other small town around. Even in 18th century there was a very nice manor house, which was rebuilt in 19th century to the hospital. As is said in the artical many buildings are demolished cos of intensive mining of cool, so even this manor house does not exist today. But we can still find a nice garden after it. In 20th century there was even a man who like castles so much. So he tryed to build a castle. The walls was already about 10m high when comunist decide to build cross that new castle a new road cos city was expanding. In that times many people comes to Orlová and from 8000 inhabitants city grow up to 20000. New road was builded and stones from castles and even the place where the castle was build get used for it. After a few years there was build several typical comunist monuments.....grey high panel buildings and city grow up to 57000 inhabitants. In that times goverment begin with building a new city called Havířov. (In area slang miner is havíř...from that comes the name of a city) After a few periods of closing the mines people goes out from the city and even one part called Doubrava get separeted. Today in Orlová lives about 40000 people.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.70.192.1 (talk) 09:16, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
