Merge into election page[edit]

This article doesn't really seem to have a purpose - it has even *less* information than Next Austrian legislative election, and is better than the latter only in that its headers have pictures, and there's a "Lead" column in the right. And while it's possible to get rid of the chart in the main article and copy all of it here... then the main article would have very little information. Thus, I believe merging the two is the best option. What are everyone's thoughts? Chuborno (talk) 01:31, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Right now it seem like a good idea, but it also depends on the trajectory of the main article and how much will be added to it the closer we move to the election. Reidlos (talk) 20:52, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ÖVP colour[edit]

While I previously strongly argued against using turquoise as the ÖVP's colour, since I assumed it was only used for their marketing material (similar to ÖVP state parties using green, yellow and other colours as the main colours of their advertising), I have now changed it to turqoise after all. The BMI (Interior Ministry) decided to standardise the colours the parties will be shown in in charts and tables, and asked them to give their official RGB values to the BMI; the ÖVP submitted turquoise. —Nightstallion 12:49, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Background colours[edit]

Please, read this message. I have just changed the background colours to the ones which were always used in this article from 2013 to August 2017. You can see that what I say is true if you look for these colours in the 2013-2014 table. There is an obvious difference between the lead and result colour of each party, so you can't use both of them to do the same thing. However, if you want to change them and use the same colours for the lead and the result of the parties, then change them all from 2013. 5.34.154.217 (talk) 11:19, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do not change the colours please. As written above, the ÖVP's new colour is turquoise (as shown on their website and Interior Ministry request).--The Pollster (talk) 12:09, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@The Pollster: I am not convicted by your comment and "Go to the discussion page, it is explained there. I am from Austria, I know it. Check their website, their official new colour is turquoise ! ". The logo haven't be changed. --Panam2014 (talk) 12:21, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Read what Nightstallion wrote above. The ÖVP submitted turquoise as their new colour to the Interior Ministry. Look at their website, look at their Twitter account: https://twitter.com/oevp?lang=de --The Pollster (talk) 12:31, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@The Pollster: again, why the logo haven't been changed ? --Panam2014 (talk) 12:39, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Which logo are you talking about ? Of course it has changed: go to the ÖVP website, go to their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. Their new logo is turquoise ! The Interior Ministry now uses turquoise. The public ORF will use turquoise tomorrow for the results ! --The Pollster (talk) 12:48, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@The Pollster: it is not the logo of the party but the logo of OVP compaign. --Panam2014 (talk) 12:53, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It is the same thing ! If the ÖVP wins tomorrow, the turquoise will remain. Kurz has rebranded the party after all. It is almost impossible that the ÖVP will switch back to black.--The Pollster (talk) 13:05, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@The Pollster:Have you got a source ? Perhaps the party will restaure the black after the election. Also, Austrian People's Party should be updated. Also, why the new logo does not include OVP mention ? --Panam2014 (talk) 13:50, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't talking about ÖVP's official colour. What I was trying to say is that the background colour which you are using in the FPÖ-led poll for its results is incorrect, since it's the lead colour and you are repeating it (you are using it in the results and in the lead). Please, read again the message and answer or tell me to explain it again. 5.34.154.217 (talk) 14:55, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
