Previous 'Omega Flight' Teams[edit]

Omega Flight was used previously by a team of during an Alpha Flight ongoing. Please see the cover here. --sigmafactor 00:58, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Omega Flight's been used several times, in fact - one of the 'classic' Alpha Flight supervillain teams. The original version goes all the way to the original John Byrne Alpha Flight run, somewhere around issues 11-12[1]. Flashback, Diamond Lil, Smart Alec etc. Question is, should this article be expanded to include those previous teams, or should they be detailed elsewhere? --Mrph 18:37, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it should. I don't think the new title is a coincidence, and they are related (both being connected to AF). --DrBat 20:26, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Deffinetly. the first Omega Flight was Alpha Flight's first major supervillian team. This also leads to wondering why the new team would have taken this name, but that's another issue. JQF 02:26, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Captain[edit]

Just justifying my add of Steve Rogers/The Captain on 7/9/06:

Several reasons really.

1)Costume - [2] is USAgent in his new costume. The shield is different from the one on the cover.

2)Alignment - [3] states that John Walker is pro-reg. Omega Flight is known to be made up of SHR refugees.

This leads me to the logical conclusion that the shield-bearer is, indeed Steve Rogers in his identity of "The Captain" Goldenboy|talk|contribs 16:27, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

But, on the other hand, doesn't it seem like more than a coincidence that Mike Oeming and Scott Kolins are writing this new USAgent story...AND they're also introducing Omega Flight with a character that looks just like USAgent (granted, despite the shield). Also, in a recent Newsarama interview, Oeming said he liked one of the characters in Omega Flight because he was a "cold bastard," and in this Wizard World interview he clearly states that he thinks USAgent is kind of a "dick." Sounds like he's talking about the same character, but, that's speculation, so I won't go any further. Maybe it's still too early to speculate that it's Steve Rogers on the promo. art for Omega Flight. It could very well be USAgent for reasons we as yet don't know. Sorry to burst your bubble, Goldenboy, but all of the work you have done is original research and not useable in articles. --sigmafactor 18:21, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:CW INITIATIVE.jpg[edit]

Image:CW INITIATIVE.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
