Age of Film

Could someone make some mention of how this movie was not relased on video until about 20 years after it was in theater? I noticed this to be a phenomeon that disney has preformed a couple times before. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 152.163.100.201 (talk • contribs) .

O&C was released in 1988 and did not have a video release until 1997. The same thing happened with The Black Cauldron: released in 1985 to little fanfare, its video premiere did not happen until 1999.

Maybe I'll incorporate that suggestion when I head back to editing O&C. Slgrandson 16:28, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Bridge and Train

I removed the misleading claim from the Trivia section that the Brooklyn Bridge never had any subway lines running across it. This is true in the sense that the lines in question were elevated at all points with no underground portions; however, they were a perfectly good part of the BMT service until 1944. Streetcars ran across the bridge until 1950, when the center lanes were rebuilt for automobile traffic. John Cowan 15:08, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

McDonald's

I remember McDonald's was the main restaurant sponsor for this movie in the USA -- i.e. Oliver & Company marketing was plastered on Happy Meals around the release date.

Don't know if it is wanted, would likely go under trivia or promotion, other film links don't include this information for the most part. I do know they had special animated commercials - Oliver and Dodger in a winter scene - promoting the two available Christmas Musical ornaments. This was not part of any Happy Meal promotion, but available for purchase. The same was done with the Little Mermaid with Flounder and Sabastian. Kidsheaven 02:55, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Beginning of Disney's revival period

Disney sort of does not count it in that period, which they would say started with "The Little Mermaid", as the series of updated musical animation. It was the first of the current type "musical Disney films" in my view, but that is "my" POV. Kidsheaven 22:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Errors

Seems odd to have an Errors section for a movie about singing pets that can literally dance through traffic at will. Lots42 02:59, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Dodger's bandana
