Replacing the Page name[edit]

In my opinion it would be better if we change the page name from "Jewar Airport" to its official name "Noida International Greenfield Airport". Arjunuws (talk) 10:03, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Too soon: Possibly in later, but at present "Jewar Airport" seems to be the WP:COMMONNAME. It returns 21,600 hits in Google when searched in "News" (more than 500,000 in basic search) while "Noida International Greenfield Airport" returns only 1,330 ((more than 12,000 in basic search)), not to mention thre are sources according to which it is names "Noida International Airport", without the Greenfield. Name change From "Jewar airport", to "Noida international airport"[edit]

it been a long time since the official name of the airport has been changed to "Noida international greenfield airport". and after this long time, we all can see that on ground, the common name used for airport is now "Noida international airport", neither "Noida international greenfield airport" nor "jewar airport" is being used now. for instance, i would like to attract your attention towards google search results, if you search "Noida international airport" you will get about 2,87,00,000 search result compared to much lower "jewar airport" of 6,04,000 and "Noida international greenfield airport" of 3,76,000, so even if we combine these two both even then the difference is really huge. and i have one more proof, it is that if we search "noida international airport" on google and click on news section, we could easily get almost 48000 results compared to much lower result of "jewar airport" of 14000 and "noida international greenfield airport" of only 2700. so clearly "Noida International Airport" should be the title of this article according to WP:COMMONNAME. we will try to make consensus here. if we come to a consensus to not to change the name then i will not do anything, but if i get no counterpoints, then i will consider it as a "go ahead" sign. thank you.Followbrocode (talk) 06:39, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
