Iron Man Connection[edit]

Nitro's bio on Marvel.com has recently, rather conspicuously, been updated to reveal that Tony Stark has access to a frequency that can force Nitro to detonate. Seems somewhat notable. 24.62.27.66 04:29, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Power Boost[edit]

It seems as though Nitro recieved a power boost, in Wolverine #43, during the call when he is talking to the government offical you can see the pills he was given. Hempeater 10:34, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, Nitro calls them MHG, or Mutant Growth Hormones. Essentially, they're a kind of super steriod that can temporarily grant superhuman powers to ordinary humans while dramatically increasing the superhuman powers of a superhuman user, at least so long as they take the pills.

Nitro MCU versus Nitro from Earth-616: Is that actually Nitro on TV?[edit]

Calling all wiki writers!

There seems to be no small amount of disagreement over whether or not the Inhuman and would-be Watchdog assassin, Terrence Shockley, is the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Nitro.

Are we to wait until either the MCU character bio exactly matches that of their Earth-616 counterpart? Or is it sufficient to observe matching powers of unique Marvel supervillains -especially when their powers are negated in the same way they were in the comics?

Because if we have to wait until some time as somebody IN SHOW somehow manages to call his character "Nitro," don't we have to do the same with almost every last supervillain that has showed up in the TV series so far?

Did they specifically call Creel "The Absorbing Man?" Or Franklin Hall, "Graviton?"

Do we have to erase a whole bunch of other Wikipedia entries now, if we can't informally call Shockley, 'MCU Nitro?'— Preceding unsigned comment added by Thanos777 (talk • contribs) 21:05, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

When there is no shared name, and no reliable source indicating that Shockley is intended to be Nitro, then yes, it falls under WP:OR, and should not be listed. He might as well be the MCU version of The Human Bomb until then. --Killer Moff- ill advisedly sticking his nose in since 2011 (talk) 19:01, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alternatively, there could be an interview with a showrunner where they explain that there's legal reasons for not using the name "Nitro" (example only - I have no idea).
