Hyperbole

Hype and rumours need to be kept off this page, if not it should be locked. Neymar is a promising young player, yes, perhaps he'll be the best in the world one day, but this is an Encyclopaedia article, and facts must be kept to. It seems to me that fanboys have been editing the opening paragraphs in particular to make Neymar sound as if he is already proven to be the best player in the world. Hi, I started copyediting the article and got to the 2010 season, but there was some interruption due to a user who kept reverting and then got blocked. I intend to continue tidying up and rewriting bits that are too long, not well structured and so on. Introduction

Please, can someone change the introduction where it says "as his side retained the league title"? It looks like the team won the national league title. Not saying that it's wrong, it's just that some people might misunderstand, since the state leagues are not very well known outside of Brazil. If you could just add "state" before "league" it would be better, I think. And also, I don't think it's approppriate to call what Santos won in 2010 (State League and Brazilian Cup) a "Double", but that's just my opinion. Does anyone have a better quote from Pele than the one in the introduction? It's not much of a compliment when you compare it to the Pele quotes given in the 'Style of play' section.

It shows up in Neymar's information that he currently plays for Barcelona and that is incorrect, Barcelona is very close to sign him but he is currently still a player of Santos. There is no official news from Barcelona or Santos considering the transfer and deal has not been signed. Check the 3rd paragraph in the section 'Personal life'. Three (3) of the four (4) citations are bogus. Some fanatic is trying to sneak in christianity there. Change to cn, and as no citations will be forthcoming, remove it all.

The citations might be dubious, and the paragraph could be better written, but not only is Nemar actually a Christian, but according to his father/manager he tithes. 2015 UEFA Supercup

Neymar didn't play in the game because he was sick but people continue to put it down under his honors. Should it be allowed to be put under his honors or not? I had this problem with players like Ronaldo, Bale, Kroos and Navas who didn't play in the supercup last year for Real Madrid. The moderators said that they didn't play and for that reason the honors of the 2016 UEFA Supercup where not put under there articles. Dismissed rape accusation - non-consensual sharing of private images

There has been prior discussion about the eventually dismissed rape allegation levied against Neymar, however the current sentence on the page makes no mention of Neymar's initial response to the allegation in which he publicly posted supposedly exculpatory evidence in the form of private WhatsApp conversations which included naked/sexual images from Najila Trindade. Obviously this was highly likely to have been done without her consent. Does this merit inclusion?
