correction[edit]

shouldn't the phrase February 6, 2006 be replaced with February 6, 2007 towards the end of the article? That would make it consistent with the end of the article numerically. 64.115.154.242 14:58, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the addition of the active duty troops from the 101st Airborne is in order. I added it to the timeline but not the article. On September 13, 2001 myself and my company Air Assaulted through the rain to the facility and secured it for several weeks until the National Guard that is mentioned in the article took over from us. No disrespect to National Guard of course. I'm in the RI Guard now!

C CO 1-502 101st Airbourn was the first company in. We had to build check points and road blocks. CPT Roper & 1stSGT Kindler were in Comand. I still have nightmeres from the animal testing movies they made us watch. In the movies they droped some VX on the back of a horse and it went into convulsions and died. In another movie they shot canon rounds of VX at a group of goats, one with a special fitted gas mask. Only the goat with the mask lived.

A lot of information about VX destruction at Newport is ending up in the VX page rather than here. Suggest most of this information be merged.MDSNYDER 21:14, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
