Pokemon go[edit]

@Fixuture: the refs just mention it in passing. They do not "compare" it with the film. zzz (talk) 17:01, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • For context as other people might be interested as well: this is about whether or not to include the content about similarity to Pokemon Go removed in this edit.
@Signedzzz: They do compare it with the game in the film. I think it is highly relevant that at the time of the film a game similar to the one depicted in the film took hold globally. The creators of the film also used the game in their marketing of the film and multiple reliable sources name it -> it should be in the article. --Fixuture (talk) 17:05, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Fixuture:At the time the film came out Pokemon was all over the news, so it is not surprising that a few (not "many" as stated) critics mentioned it in passing. They did not "compare" it. Please read the refs. zzz (talk) 17:09, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
"The creators of the film also used the game in their marketing of the film" - if you have a source for that then add that, but that is irrelevant to the edit you added. zzz (talk) 17:11, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Signedzzz: It doesn't matter if it surprised you or not. If you think that "compare" is the wrong term here please edit it instead of removing it entirely.
Here's a source for that: http://mashable.com/2016/07/25/nerve-movie-pokemon-go-poke-stops-dave-franco-emma-roberts/.

Since you cannot find a critic "comparing" the film with the game, then why are you insisting that the article states that "many critics comapred" them? zzz (talk) 17:22, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed it per BRD, as it is not my responsibility to reword a pointless edit so that it is not factually wrong. zzz (talk) 17:24, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why you don't just add something about the advertising, like I said, since you actually have a source for that. zzz (talk) 17:31, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
