Peer Review[edit]

Hey, I really like your article! I think that it has a lot of great facts and information backing up your argument that the advertisements do not have a huge affect. One thing that I think you could add onto is possibly talking about why these advertisements do not work (kids find them immature/funny or take them as a joke, the forms of media are not easily understood, they do not capture attention of the kids or 'right' crowd). Or why the creators of these ads feel they do or do not work. I don't know if there is information or research done on the points I stated but I think it would be interesting to know why both sides of the spectrum think these adds are or are not working.

Goodluck finishing it! Mtomao (talk) 14:37, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I like your article. You have a bunch of good sources, and a lot of information. Good job! I think maybe you can write some more. You have a section about Marijuana, and I know you mentioned cigarettes and alcohol under the effects section, but maybe they can have their own sections as well, I'm sure there is tons of information out there. Also what about other drugs: cocaine, heroin, etc. Also, I know that a lot of young people like to get high on prescription drugs: adderall, oxycontin, etc. I'm not sure if the ONDCP has any ads about that but maybe you can find out. Also I don't know if you only want to talk about the specific campaign conducted by the ONDCP, but maybe you can link to some other anti-drug campaigns, such as the truth anti smoking campaign. Good luck with your article, fee free to ask me if you need any help. Eff Gjeni (talk) 19:32, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback[edit]

I think the last commenter has a good point - you have a lot of good information about this, but it could be expanded. Are there other drug campaigns that are linked to this one? What happened afterwards? This was probably the first big anti-drug media campaign, but it definitely wasn't the last. Is there any research about other drugs? You don't necessarily need to flesh out all of these questions, but it might help guide some other parts or links that you can build between this article and others. Good job!
