Unreliable sources/notability[edit]

@Hpsatapathy: Could you comment on this subject's notability? Currently, the provided sources that refer to "National Legal Services Day" do not appear to be reliable, and I can't find any better sourcing online. signed, Rosguill talk 20:08, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article refers to the commencement/enactment of an Indian Law related with free legal service to the needy litigants. Moreover,Free legal aid is certainly a topic of notability in the context of Indian as well as international law.One of the source is from the official website of NALSA, a constitutional body of India. At least, its reliability should not be questioned. However, I am developing the article with further resources/references shortly. Thanks for the positive comment. If the purpose is to write an article about the Indian law which provides free legal services in India, shouldn't it then be moved to National Legal Services (India), National Legal Services Authority or a similar page? Putting "Day" in the title makes it seem like this is primarily about a commemorate event, not the actual services or service-provider themselves. If your intent is to write an article about the free legal aid services, then perhaps the content should be added to National Legal Services Authority which is a stub about the government agency that provides these services. signed, Rosguill talk 14:37, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Of course the article is about the commemorate event . But the aim needs to be defined. I am hopeful that your comments would guide me to develop the article and help wikifying it. Hpsatapathy (talk) 15:09, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the sources available to me at this time, (at least in English, perhaps you can find more content in other languages) it doesn't seem like the commemorative event meets notability independent of the Act or Authority itself. Unless more sources are found, I think the best move would be to merge content about the commemoration into a new section on the article about the NLSA. signed, Rosguill talk 15:27, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
