The article was discussed for deletion and the consensus was that he was not sufficiently notable at the time, and the article was re-directed to Musk family

Is a 500 year lineage notable?

Every human being has a 500 year lineage. I mean come on why is this an article? No one is mentioned but current Musk relatives. This reads like a vanity page. Afrikaner descent?

I see this assumed a lot, given the confusion over another sort of ‘Dutch’ on his mother’s side and being a white South African, but his paternal ancestors going back three generations all have Anglo names. Does anyone have specific evidence of an Afrikaner ancestor? Otherwise I will removed the unsourced claim. Harsimaja (talk) 16:09, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
