The spelling of the name has bothered me for awhile, as it struck me as different from what I remembered from the bridge plaque down the street from us. Upon inspection tonight, that same plaque spells it as "Muckinapatus". If there are no objections, I can add that as one of the alternate spellings, and provide a photo of the plaque.
