Official english title[edit]

Would it make more sense to keep the article titled Osomatsu-san as opposed to Mr. Osomatsu? The Mr. title is only used on Crunchyroll (ie. it hasn't been licensed by a distributor) and even then all the subtitles refer to it as Osomatsu-san. Also the -san part makes it clear it's a successor to Osomatsu-kun. Wonchop (talk) 18:57, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was renamed as official/common english name. Crunchyroll are still a licensed distributor and it is normal to move pages to their chosen title. Given that titles have to be approved by the rights holders that is the official english title. It is also the title it is covered by on ANN and Otaku USA so it's used by reliable sources. Yeah I agree with Sephy here that we should go with the WP:COMMONNAME used in reliable English sources. Opencooper (talk) 03:39, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Just found it odd that outside of its title page, the series itself never calls itself Mr. Osomatsu, and episode titles that refer to the show itself (eg. Christmas Osomatsu-san) use the -san title. But I guess it's not worth arguing about for now, so it's best to leave alone til news of home video licensing comes up.Wonchop (talk) 13:16, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
