Was he really a rabbi? --Sheynhertzגעשׁ״ך 07:17, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's just a nickname. Babe Ruth wasn't actually a sultan, either. --Eliyak T·C 15:48, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

Article at Moe Solomon is more complete, but may be incorrectly titled. Alansohn 02:45, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree.--Epeefleche 08:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He was known as Moe during his playing career so it's actually a more suitable title. --Michael Snow (talk) 21:34, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Move[edit]

As far as I can tell, this player's name is "Mose", not "Moe". That is how his name is listed in all baseball-related sources. I have therefore reqeusted that it be moved. -Dewelar (talk) 04:53, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As there have been no objections, I'm going ahead and moving it. Cheers!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 15:55, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much! Now that the old history has been restored, I'll ask if anyone has a cite for him being called "Moe". As mentioned above, all the usual sources (mlb.com, retrosheet, bbref, baseball-almanac) have his name listed as "Mose". The only mention I find of "Moe" is on his bbref Bullpen page, which is not a reliable source. I can find no mention at all of him being named "Moses". -Dewelar (talk) 18:46, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
