Initial Notes[edit]

This facility was once known as "GE Morris Operation" but is now known as "GEH Morris Operation" following a transfer of ownership. The facility is located in Grundy County, Illinois; however, despite the mailing address, it is not technically located within the corporate limits of the municipality of Morris, Illinois. It is immediately southwest of Dresden Generating Station. Squideshi (talk) 17:34, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Outdated, inaccurate reference[edit]

Reference 1 is out of date and inaccurate. The most recent version is here: http://neis.org/wp-content/uploads/NUCLEAR-ILLINOIS-Facts-2017.pdf The reference is inaccurate and misleading. The NRC regulates 90 ISFSI installations. https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML1723/ML17233A125.pdf The only unique characteristic about Morris is that it is a wet installation. But, so are all of the spent fuel pools at operating reactors.

Morris is nothing more than the spent fuel pool at what used to be Dresden 1.

Does Dresden still have it's own pool, and was Dresden 1's pool originally in the same location as Morris--across the street? Squideshi (talk) 14:55, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
