Travel Brochure[edit]

Has this been taken straight from a travel brochure? It sounds like they are trying to sell it to me. SaintDaveUK (talk) 15:32, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IS this true? What part did they use? :) Jwoodger (talk) 00:50, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
no, it's not true. I just pulled up the city's database entry in the game. There's some similar information, but none of the text is the same. At least as the entry is now, there doesn't appear to be any copying. 74.192.158.110 (talk) 01:31, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, shouldn't we add the reference to Assasin's Creed under "In popular Culture" section? --95.26.226.248 (talk) 13:05, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Etymology[edit]

It looks like Monteriggioni has the same Latin root as the Monteregian Hills in Quebec- Mons Regius. Does anyone know why it would have been called that? 99.239.19.3 (talk) 06:18, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Montérégie, Quebec[edit]

Montérégie in Quebec sounds like the same name only in French - is there any relation or pure coincidence?
Also, why are some names in Latin languages so popular like Villanueva/Villeneuve etc... but why specifically Monteriggioni/Monteregie out of zillions of possible permutations?
