850,000 Years[edit]

I know the science article linked says the earliest humans arrived in Italy some 0.85 Mya, but that should be hominins. Modern humans aren't around until about 200,000 years ago and they don't leave Africa until about 100,000 years ago. These may be evidence of early Neanderthals or something, but "human" is a claim that should not be used willy nilly. 109.144.18.172 (talk) 12:30, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
